I will be captivating my audience by adding many interactive applications and being an active friend requester and poster. I will be active in the social networks and actually try to get relationships established in the networks.

Next Project

I am not sure what kind of character I am going to come up with for this project, but I have few ideas. First, I find the teen culture on such social networking sites to be fascinating, but scary all at the same time. I may make some teeny-bopper character and have some fun with that. I also thought it might be interesting to use a picture of my boyfriend and create an alternate character for him because he has such a striking resemblance to a well known movie star/heart-throb. He has been mistaken for the person several times, and I think making him accessible to the online community would be fun Either way I know I am going to enjoy this project whichever route I choose to take.

I really enjoyed this assignment. I thought it was a very original way to get students to write in a new medium. I had never blogged before, and wouldn’t know the first thing about it until this project. I was able to be creative and use photos and maps to help tell my story. I think personalizing the different elements of the blog and map was an innovative way to get us into multimedia writing. I am still not completely certain how to change and edit the blog, but now I am confident that I can use this writing medium in future projects or just for fun.

Freewriting towards Project 1

I actually have no clue what to write about for my first project. I cannot think of anything that exciting to write about from personal experience. I'm going to have to keep thinking about this because I would rather not have to make something up. Maybe I could use a humorous account by one of my friends because lately they have led much more entertaining lives than I have. Format wise I'm not sure either. I will probably go with a contest, because most likely the story will be some sort of "adventure" or journey (as far as they go in Morgantown). I was hoping by doing some free writing I would come up with something by now, no. I guess I could write about my personal life, my friends seem to think its pretty entertaining, but I just find it aggravating. As I keep thinking, I'm becoming more convinced that I will have to write about some kind of drama in my life... wonderful! I will have to get back to you later on when I figure this project out.
